Ad Revenue Calculator
Estimated display ad earnings of a website.
Estimate how much a YouTube channel earns from its views. The YouTube money calculator gives a low-to-high range, because RPM varies so much between channels.
earnings = views × monetized share ÷ 1,000 × RPM low estimate uses the low RPM, high estimate the high RPM
RPM, revenue per mille, is what the creator keeps per 1,000 views after YouTube's share. It already includes views that show no ad, which is why it is lower than advertisers' CPM.
A finance or tech channel with a US audience can earn an RPM above $10, while an entertainment channel with a global audience may earn under $1. Shorts pay far less per view than long videos. That is why the calculator always shows a range.
Most channels earn roughly $1 to $5 per 1,000 views in RPM, and some niches earn much more.
CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM is what you earn per 1,000 views after YouTube's cut.
At a $1 to $5 RPM with 60% monetized views, about $600 to $3,000.
