Merge PDF files into one document in the order you choose, and keep only the pages you need from each file. The pages are copied as they are, and your files never leave your browser.

    How to combine PDF files

    1. Choose your PDFs, drop them on the box, or load one from a URL. You can add more later.
    2. Put the files in order with the up and down arrows. The top file comes first.
    3. Under a file, type the pages you want, such as 1-3, 7. Leave it empty to use every page.
    4. Press Merge PDFs and download the result. It is named after the first file, ending in -merged.pdf.

    How it works

    Each PDF is opened with pdf-lib inside your browser. For every file, the chosen pages are copied into a new, empty document together with everything they use: fonts, images, and drawings. Nothing is redrawn or compressed again, so the merged file looks exactly like the originals.

    A page range can list single pages, ranges, and pages in any order. 5- means page 5 to the end, and 3-1 gives pages 3, 2, and 1. A page can appear twice if you type it twice.

    Examples

    • The sample report (3 pages) and the sample appendix (1 page), with no ranges, give a 4-page PDF: the report followed by the appendix.
    • The same two files with the range 1 under the report give a 2-page PDF: the report's cover page and the appendix.
    • A contract, then 2 from a signed copy, then 3- from the contract again rebuild the contract with the signed page swapped in.

    What is kept and what is not

    • Kept: page content, page size, rotation, and links inside each page.
    • Not kept: bookmarks (the outline in the side panel), because they point into the old files, and document properties such as the title. Filled-in forms keep what was typed, but the fields may no longer be editable.

    Limitations

    • Up to 20 files at once, each up to 100 MB.
    • Password-protected PDFs can't be opened. Remove the password in the app you used to protect it first.
    • Merging does not make files smaller. Large scanned pages stay large.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is it safe to merge PDF files online here?

    Yes. The files are merged by JavaScript in your browser tab. They are not uploaded, so no copy stays on a server.

    Can I merge only some pages of each PDF?

    Yes. Type the pages under each file, for example 1-3, 7. Files with an empty range are added in full.

    Will merging lower the quality of my PDF?

    No. Pages are copied with their original fonts and images. Nothing is compressed or converted, so text stays selectable and sharp.

    Why are my bookmarks missing after merging?

    Bookmarks belong to the whole document and point to pages of the original file, so they can't be carried into a new file safely. Links inside the pages still work.
