How to convert JPG images to PDF
- Choose your images, drop them on the box, or paste one with Ctrl+V.
- Put them in order with the up and down arrows. The top image becomes page 1.
- Pick a page size, the orientation, and a margin.
- Press Create PDF and download the file.
How it works
Each image gets its own page. On a fixed page size, the image is scaled to fit inside the margins without changing its shape, and centered:
scale = min(space width / image width, space height / image height)
With Same as each image, the page takes the image's size at 96 pixels per inch (0.75 points per pixel), plus the margin.
JPG and PNG files are put into the PDF byte for byte, so photos are not compressed a second time. WebP, AVIF, GIF, and BMP files are converted first: images with transparency or lossless ones to PNG, photos to JPG at quality 95. A phone photo stored sideways with an EXIF rotation tag is drawn upright by the PDF itself, without re-encoding.
Examples
- A 4,000 × 3,000 photo on A4 with Auto orientation and a normal margin: the page turns landscape (842 × 595 points), and the photo fills the 770 × 523 point space at 698 × 523 points, centered.
- Ten receipt scans on A4 portrait with small margins give a 10-page PDF ready to email.
- A 1,200 × 800 screenshot with Same as each image and no margin gives a 900 × 600 point page, the screenshot at its natural size.
Limitations
- Up to 20 images at a time, 50 MB and 50 megapixels each.
- HEIC photos from iPhones open only in Safari; elsewhere, export them as JPG first.
- Animated GIFs and WebPs keep only their first frame.
- The PDF holds pictures, not text. Searching or copying text from scans needs OCR.
Frequently asked questions
Does converting JPG to PDF reduce image quality?
No. JPG and PNG images are placed in the PDF exactly as they are. Only WebP, AVIF, GIF, and BMP files are converted, at a setting you can't tell apart from the original.
How do I change the order of the images?
Use the up and down arrows next to each image in the list. The order of the list is the order of the pages.
Can I combine several JPG files into one PDF?
Yes. Add up to 20 images and they all go into one PDF, one image per page.
Why is my phone photo not sideways in the PDF?
Phones often store photos sideways with a rotation tag. The tool reads that tag and places the photo upright on the page.
