How to use the Whitespace Remover
- Paste text or upload a text file.
- Turn on the cleanup options you need, such as Trim each line, Collapse repeated spaces, or Remove blank lines.
- Check the cleaned result and the change counts.
- Copy or download the output.
How it works
Each option targets a different kind of whitespace. Trimming removes spaces and tabs at the start and end of each line. Collapsing repeated spaces turns runs like three or four spaces into one. Blank-line options either remove empty lines entirely or reduce several empty lines to a single blank line.
Special-space cleanup can normalize non-breaking spaces and zero-width spaces that often appear after copy and paste from websites or office documents. If you choose Remove all whitespace, spaces, tabs, and line breaks are stripped from the whole text. If you choose Remove line breaks, the lines are joined into one line instead.

Limitations
- This tool works on plain text. It does not understand CSV columns or quoted fields. Use CSV Cleaner for structured table data.
- Remove all whitespace is destructive. Once applied, word boundaries may be lost.
- Tabs changed to spaces use a plain text replacement, not visual editor tab stops.
- Inputs up to 10 MB are supported.

What is the difference between removing line breaks and removing all whitespace?
Removing line breaks joins lines into one line but keeps spaces between words. Removing all whitespace strips spaces, tabs, and line breaks, so words can run together.
Can this fix text copied from Word or a website?
Often, yes. It is especially useful for trimming lines and cleaning non-breaking or zero-width spaces that come from copy and paste.
Will it change the text itself?
Only through the whitespace rules you choose. Letters, numbers, and punctuation stay the same unless their spacing is affected.
