MP3 Cutter
Trim MP3 audio with waveform positioning and exact time fields.
Create a copy of a recording that plays from the end toward the beginning. Choose an output format and listen to the reversed result before downloading.
MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC. Up to 100 MiB per file (50 MiB on touch devices), 1800 seconds. Decoded audio memory limits also apply.
Bitrate applies to MP3 and AAC. WAV uses 16-bit PCM; FLAC is lossless. OGG uses quality-based encoding.
Add a file, pick your settings, then select Reverse audio.

TXT uses your edited text. SRT and VTT use the timed segments; edit segment text below for subtitle changes.
No account or daily usage quota. File and device limits protect your browser from running out of memory.
The effect plays audio samples in reverse order. A spoken sentence becomes backwards speech, and sounds with a sharp attack can become rising swells. Reversing does not slow the recording down or shift its pitch.
The reversal filter needs the decoded recording in memory before it can output the first reversed sample. A long recording can therefore be more demanding than a simple format conversion. Start with a short clip on a phone.
Trim a short sound, reverse it, and preview how it builds toward its ending. Keep WAV output when you need a PCM clip for further editing, or choose MP3 for a listening copy.
Use MP3 Cutter to isolate an MP3 section before reversing it. Audio Fade In/Out can soften either edge of the reversed output.
The samples play in the opposite order at the selected output sample rate. The effect is reversal, not intentional pitch shifting.
First trim the required section with MP3 Cutter, then reverse that clip.
The reversal filter buffers decoded audio. Its memory requirement can be much larger than the compressed file size.
Reversing restores sample order, but any resampling or lossy compression from the exports remains. Keep the original recording.
